Instead of having to manually accept booking requests, hosts can allow 'instant bookings' for their listings (Host > Properties > Edit Property > Rules > Booking rules > Allow instant bookings).
When 'Allow instant bookings' is selected, our system automatically accepts bookings when the calendar is open for those dates. Not only will your listing be easier to book for campers, but you will also appear higher in our search results when you have instant bookings enabled.
In general, instant bookings result in 20-40% more bookings made by guests compared to bookings by request.
How the 'instant booking' process works
The process of receiving bookings when having 'instant bookings' selected in your Campanyon 'property rules' is as follows:
- A guest finds your listing on Campanyon and makes a booking by filling in their preferred dates, number of guests, and personal details. They then click 'instant book'.
- Upon clicking 'instant book', the guest is redirected to the Stripe payment page.
- Once the payment has been made, you receive a booking confirmation email and sms to inform you of the upcoming booking.
Please note that, if you choose to set up instant bookings, we advice you to:
- Keep your calendar up to date
Keeping your calendar up to date and your listings accurate avoids disappointment. There’s construction starting next door? Campers can’t swim in the nearby lake? You’re going away for two weeks on holiday? Don’t forget to reflect it all in your calendar and listing description.
Got multiple calendars to keep? You can connect your Campanyon calendar with external calendars. - Honour your bookings
Cancellations are stressful for your guests. If it’s absolutely necessary to cancel a booking - as a result of an acute illness, accident, or death in the immediate family - please reach out to us by clicking the orange button in the bottom right corner, or through hello@campanyon.com.
Keep in mind that your cancellation rate affects how often people see your listing on Campanyon and through online advertising. - Clearly list your rules
Make sure that guests can make an informed decision before booking and can prepare themselves before their arrival.
