1. How to connect you Campanyon calendar if you are not using a Channel Manager?
The way to connect your Campanyon calendar to another booking calendar if you are not using a Channel Manager is by creating an iCal calendar connection.
To start with, what is iCal?
iCal is a technical term for calendar data and it is completely free to use. It gives you the option to connect two calendars with each other in a few minutes. Once the integration is done, both calendars will communicate with each other and keep each other up to date. Every calendar and listing has a unique iCal link.
How to connect your calendars using an iCal link?
The way you connect your calendar is by importing through copy-pasting the iCal link of a listing on another calendar into the import field of the same listing on Campanyon. To establish a two-way communication with another calendar (which prevents you from needing to block dates in another calendar when bookings come in through Campanyon), you will need to also export Campanyon's iCal link of a listing into the import field of the same listing on another calendar.
How to start?
- Go to Campanyon and log into your profile.
- Under ‘My properties’ you can edit the calendar per listing. By clicking on ‘Calendar’ you go to the calendar of the listing on Campanyon.
- Make sure to always open the calendar on Campanyon first before establishing the connection. You can do this by scrolling a bit down and clicking on the orange button 'UNBLOCK ENTIRE CALENDAR'.
- Once you fully opened the Campanyon Calendar of a listing you can choose the option ‘’Add new external calendar’’. Here you can set a name of the calendar connection and import the iCal link from your other calendar and export the iCal link from Campanyon’s calendar to your external calendar.
- Repeat the same process of step 4 for the other listings you would like to connect.
Where can you find the import and export function in your other calendar?
This depends a bit per booking calendar or channel although often you can find it in a similar place. Often it is visible in the calendar of the listing on your other calendar. If you cannot find it please contact your point of contact of your other booking calendar. Please find an example below where you can find the iCal import and export function on Airbnb.

How to connect if my Channel Manager calendar is not on the list above?
The standard procedure we help all our hosts with in this situation is to establish a temporary iCal connection until the integration with your Channel Manager is available.
How to start?
- Go to Campanyon and log into your profile.
- Under ‘My properties’ you can edit the calendar per listing. By clicking on ‘’Calendar’’ you go to the calendar of the listing on Campanyon.
- Make sure to always open the calendar on Campanyon first before establishing the connection. You can do this by scrolling a bit down and clicking on the orange button ''UNBLOCK ENTIRE CALENDAR''.
- Once you fully opened the Campanyon Calendar of a listing you can choose the option ‘’Add new external calendar’’. Here you can set a name of the calendar connection and import the iCal link from your Channel Manager calendar and export the iCal link from Campanyon’s calendar to your external calendar.
- Repeat the same process of step 4 for the other listings you would like to connect.
Please note:
Campanyon offers both an import and export functionality. Some booking calendars only offer the option to export an iCal connection. If this is the case follow the same steps as above to export the iCal link and import this into your Campanyon calendar. In this 1-way connection your Campanyon is always up to date although you will need to update your other booking calendar after a new booking on Campanyon is made.
